The Reston Historic Trust & Museum offers Standards of Learning (SOL)-based school programs for grades K-12. These programs are offered free of charge for Reston Public Schools.
Student groups can visit the Reston Museum (groups of 35 or less at a time), or an RHT instructor can come to your classroom. Programs can be adjusted slightly to accommodate the grade and current curriculum topics of the students.

Group Tours & Presentations
The Reston Historic Trust & Museum offers group tours and presentations for on a regular basis, as requested. Group tours and presentations can be scheduled and held at the Reston Museum or we can come to your location (within a reasonable distance from the Reston Museum).
Tours and presentations will review the early plans for Reston dating back to the early 1960s and outline the revolutionary concepts that impacted the planning and development of communities in America. Group tours will also include a walking tour of Washington Plaza at the historic Lake Anne Village Center to illustrate the principles behind the creation of plazas, townhouses in the suburbs, public art, diversity of housing choices, protection of open space, and walkable communities with residential units, business and retail all located in one place. The content and presentation can be adjusted slightly to accommodate the age and interests of both adult and student groups.
